The UFC world
The Unified Facilities Criteria are DoD’s facility standards, and the fire protection set covers design through operations. UFC 3-601-02 is the operations and maintenance volume: inspection and testing programs, impairment handling, and the roles of the installation fire department and facilities staff. It leans on NFPA standards while adding DoD-specific requirements and mission considerations.
